In this blog post I will be talking about the government of the Apache Tribe in present day. They call it the tribal government, which consists the same standard 3 branches or departments of the U.S. government. Those departments are the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary. In the Executive branch consist of a president, a vice-president, a secretary, and a treasurer. The legislative consist of eight members, including the Secretary and Treasurer of the Executive officers. The Judiciary the trial court consist of a chief judge and two associate judges. It’s interesting to see their government being similar to the United States just on a small scale.
Another thing that goes along with this that I on the tribal website was the constitution of this specific tribe. This constitution was created in 1936 and was last revised in 1965. The reason for this it to promote justice, insure tranquility, and encourage
the general welfare of their tribe. They also state that it helps to have a constitution for the safety of the group because it allows the tribe to be closer with the the state and national government.
